Sweet, juicy strawberries meet fragrant basil and creamy burrata in this elegant yet effortless appetizer. Served atop crisp crostini and finished with a drizzle of balsamic glaze, these Strawberry Basil Crostini with Burrata are the perfect balance of fresh, creamy, and tangy flavors—ideal for spring gatherings, wine nights, or a simple treat just because!

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced into ½-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze (plus more for drizzling)
  • 6 oz burrata cheese, torn into pieces
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves, torn
  • ¼ tsp flaky sea salt
  • ¼ tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • Honey (optional, for drizzling)

Directions

Toast the Crostini: Preheat oven to 375°F. Brush baguette slices with olive oil and arrange them on a baking sheet. Toast for 8-10 minutes until golden and crisp.

Prepare the Strawberries: In a bowl, toss the sliced strawberries with balsamic glaze. Let them sit for about 5 minutes to enhance their sweetness.

Assemble the Crostini: Spread torn burrata over each toasted baguette slice. Top with balsamic strawberries and fresh basil.

Finish & Serve: Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and cracked black pepper. Drizzle with extra balsamic glaze (and honey if you like a touch of sweetness). Serve immediately.

This pairs beautifully with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc or a light Rosé. Enjoy! 🍓✨
